The new 2024 Mazda CX-50 has been unveiled and is now available for purchase. Since its introduction in 2022, the CX-50 has gained significant traction, and the 2024 model continues to uphold the characteristics that make this Mazda SUV a hit. In this article, we’ll explore the different versions and pricing of the 2024 Mazda CX-50.

Powertrain Options

The 2024 Mazda CX-50 offers two SKYACTIV-G powertrains:

The base engine is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder, generating 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes standard in the GS-L and GT trims.
A more potent turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine delivers 256 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque with 93 octane fuel. However, it can also run on regular fuel, offering 227 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque in that case.

Both engines are coupled with Mazda’s sophisticated I-ACTIV all-wheel-drive system. In the towing capacity realm, the standard CX-50 can handle up to 2,000 pounds, while the turbocharged variants can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

2024 Mazda CX-50 GS-L: $39,300

The GS-L, although an entry-level trim, is packed with features. It boasts a 10.25-inch centre display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.Safety features under the I-ACTIVESENSE suite include radar-based adaptive cruise control, automatic city braking with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, and lane departure assistance. Additionally, this trim comes with 17-inch wheels and LED headlights.

2024 Mazda CX-50 GT: $44,250

The GT trim enhances the GS-L’s connectivity and entertainment offerings. It includes wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker Bose Centrepoint system, and SiriusXM Satellite radio with a complimentary three-month membership. A navigation system, leather seats, power passenger seat, memory function for the driver’s seat, and ventilated front seats are added. Enhanced safety technologies like a head-up display, a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot monitoring, traffic assist, and both rear and front parking sensors are part of this trim.

2024 Mazda CX-50 GT Turbo: $46,750

This variant boasts the more powerful turbocharged engine mentioned earlier. The MI-drive system includes a towing mode and towing capacity increases to 3,500 pounds. It carries all interior tech from the GT and adds steering-mounted gearshift paddles. Externally, unique turbo badges and larger exhaust tips differentiate the more powerful version.

2024 Mazda CX-50 Meridian Edition: $49,250

Building on the GT Turbo trim, the Meridian Edition is crafted for more rugged adventures. It features exclusive 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, distinct body cladding, and a unique hood design graphic.
